1. About Legible
Legible provides software designed to evaluate and verify runtime system behavior based on structural and behavioral metadata derived from existing telemetry.The Services are intended to support engineering teams in understanding whether systems continue to behave as intended over time. Legible does not replace human judgment, operational decision-making, or existing system controls.
2. Eligibility and Authority
You represent and warrant that:You are authorized to use the Services on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent.You have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.Your use of the Services complies with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
3. Scope of Data Processed
Legible evaluates behavioral and structural metadata, not business or customer data.
Legible may process:
Service interaction metadata and workflow transitions
Deployment, version, and configuration signals
System topology and dependency relationships
Execution state transitions
Legible does not collect:
Application payloads
Request or response bodies
Customer database contentsLong-term execution traces beyond operational need
You acknowledge that the Services evaluate system behavior, not application data or business content.
4. Access Model and Operational Boundaries
Legible operates under the principle of least privilege.
Access to telemetry sources is read-only
Permissions are scoped and environment-specific
The Services do not intercept live traffic
The Services do not directly modify production systems
Legible does not autonomously execute remediation or corrective actions.
If customers choose to expose controlled management interfaces, any resulting actions remain explicitly authorized, governed, and executed within the customer’s environment. Operational authority always remains with the customer.
5. Use of the Services
You agree to use the Services only for lawful and authorized purposes. You may not:
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code
Circumvent security or access controls
Use the Services to make fully autonomous decisions without appropriate human oversight
Use the Services in a way that causes harm to systems, users, or third parties
6. No Guarantee of Correctness or Outcomes
While Legible evaluates system behavior, the Services do not guarantee correctness, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.You acknowledge that:
Behavioral verification is evidence-based and probabilistic
Not all deviations or risks may be detected
Responsibility for system behavior and outcomes remains with you
The Services provide analysis and explanation, not authority over execution.
7. Security Controls
Legible implements administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect customer environments, including:
Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+)
Encryption at rest (AES-256)
Tenant isolation
Role-based access controls
Audit logging of access and configuration changes
Access to customer environments is restricted, logged, and governed by internal security policies.
8. Identity and Access Management
Access to the Services may be integrated with enterprise identity providers, including SAML or OIDC-based Single Sign-On.
Authorization is role-based and enforced according to least-privilege principles. Multi-factor authentication may be enforced via your identity provider.
9. Deployment Models
Legible supports multiple deployment architectures, including:
Secure multi-tenant SaaS
Dedicated single-tenant environments
Private or customer-managed environments
Deployment options may vary by agreement and availability.
10. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to protect the other’s confidential information and to use it only as necessary to provide or receive the Services.
Confidential information does not include information that:
Is publicly available without breach
Was independently developed
Was lawfully obtained from a third party
11. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Services, including software, documentation, and designs, are owned by Legible or its licensors.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services during the period of access.
12. Patent Notice
Legible technologies are protected by filed U.S. provisional patent applications and pending patent filings.

13. Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with third-party platforms or depend on third-party infrastructure. Legible is not responsible for the availability, security, or behavior of third-party services.
Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
14. Availability and Changes
Legible may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services, including during beta or early access periods.
Features and availability may change as the platform evolves.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Legible shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Legible’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Legible in the twelve months preceding the claim
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legible from claims arising from:
Your use of the Services
Your systems, configurations, or data
Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
17. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.Legible may suspend or terminate access if continued use presents risk, violates these Terms, or is required by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
19. Changes to These Terms
Legible may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
